Reports present information from public sources and your label images. They are not legal advice and not a TTB approval. Label images are processed by an AI service and deleted after your report is made.

What is included

Name check: US federal trademarks (including similar spelling and sound), brand and fanciful names in the federal beer label (TTB COLA) registry, and the Oregon state trademark register
Informational checks: whether a brewery of that name is listed in OpenBreweryDB, a domain-name check (DNS and RDAP; never a claim that a name is available) and a web check
Label check: the mandatory items on your label photos read against the federal malt beverage labeling rules (27 CFR Part 7), including the government health warning wording
State requirements checklist for up to 10 states: what each state agency publishes about beer brand registration, with sources and last-verified dates. Detailed entries for CA, TX, NY, PA, OH, FL, IL, MI, WA, MA, CO and NC (some marked lower confidence); other states get a pointer to the agency
Links to check by hand, and a plain-language list of what could not be assessed

What is not included

Legal advice, or an attorney opinion
New York and Ohio brand registers were not searched (state requirement checklists are provided for those states). No other state brand register is searched except Oregon
COLA names cover federally approved labels only, not pending, refused or state-only brands
TTB label approval (COLA) or any guarantee that a label will be approved
State-by-state approval outcomes. State information is general and may be out of date
Type size, contrast and legibility, misleading-claim judgments, and formula or ingredient approval
Unregistered (common-law) use, local or draft-only brands, and beer rating sites
